An investment license is a legally valid license issued by the Business Registration Authority to foreign investors or investment projects in accordance with the provisions of the 2020 Investment Law. The procedure includes: (1) Preparing investment documents, (2) Submitting to the receiving department; (3) Checking and verifying; (4) Issuing the license. Time: 5-10 working days.

According to the 2020 Investment Law: A maximum of 10 working days from the date of receipt of a complete application. The Management Board commits to issuing the permit within 5-7 days for complete and valid applications. The time may be extended if additional verification is needed or if there are changes in the law.

Investment license fee: VND 1,200,000 (for investment capital of VND 500 million or more). The fee is non-refundable. For details, please see Decision 38/2020/QD-TTg on the schedule of administrative fees in the field of investment management.

Required documents: (1) Application for a license; (2) Investment project; (3) Investor's legal documents; (4) Certificate of financial capacity; (5) Commitment to comply with the law. Detailed list: see 'Administrative procedures' section.
